SchedulePro has been updated to provide more information around shift assignments. In the log viewer and activity logs, you can now see a better snapshot of how the assignment was made, the order of employees when assigned through the candidate finder, and more.
This level of detail is only available for schedule actions starting on September 17, 2025. If the data was not recorded, a note will appear when you click on the icon indicating this.
Accessing the Context Panel in the Log Viewer
In the log viewer, a new icon will appear next to scheduling actions.
To open the panel, click on the icon. Six sections will appear; details will populate when the sections are expanded when information is available.
Shift Summary
The shift summary provides details of the shift that was assigned: name, shift/leave code, date, shift duration, position, location, work reasons, and comments.
Assignment Details
The assignment details provide more insight into how the employee was scheduled. When scheduled through the candidate finder, it will provide the search method and schedule action used to make the assignment.
If the assignment is completed manually, the assignment type will read Manual Shift Edit and the search method and schedule action is blank.
Compliance Summary
The compliance summary provides the rule requirements and whether the assigned employee passed or failed each of the rules. If the employee failed a rule, the failure override reason will appear when added.
Filters & Settings Applied
This section is only useful when making manual assignments through Shift Edit. The details will show what filters were set for the schedule at the time of assignment: start date, sort option, view type, number of days displayed, filters applied, and which schedule insights were visible (volunteer, bids, work records).
Employees Considered
The employees considered section will show evaluated employees at the time of assignment. When assignments are made through the candidate finder, a snapshot of evaluated employees appears with the assigned person highlighted in green. For a full list of evaluated employees, click See all employees evaluated.
Note: this list shows everyone evaluated, not just those who passed the rules. Additional details are not displayed on this screen, so you will still need to refer to the results in the candidate finder to determine if the right person was selected for the shift.
Detailed Changes
Detailed changes will show what the employee was assigned to before and after the assignment was made. The information available will depend on what information is available for the shift.
