If you can’t submit a leave request, try the following steps to find out what might be causing the issue.
1. Make sure you have permission to submit leave requests
You need permission to submit leave requests in the system.
If you don’t see the option to submit a request or get an error message:
Check with your manager or administrator to confirm you have access to submit leave requests.
If your permissions were recently updated, try logging out and back in to refresh your account.
2. Confirm you can use the leave code
Not all leave types are available for employees to submit on their own.
Check that the leave code (for example, Vacation, Personal, or Sick Leave) is available to select.
If the code isn’t showing or can’t be selected, contact your manager to confirm whether employees are allowed to submit that type of leave directly.
3. Check the leave cutoff window
Some leave types have a cutoff window — meaning you can only request time off within a certain number of days before or after the leave date.
If you’re trying to submit a request too close to the start date or too far in advance, the system may not allow it.
If you’re unsure about the rules for your leave type, check your company’s leave policy or ask your manager.
Still need help?
If you’ve tried all the steps above and still can’t submit your request:
Take a screenshot or note any error message you see.
Contact your manager or HR team with the details so they can review your permissions and leave settings.
